Cosaf partner with PZ Cussons for low carbon cooling solution 17/11/2010

Companies are constantly being reminded about the long-term impact their business practices are having on the environment. More and more industry bosses are now turning to ‘green-led’ technology in an attempt to decrease their ‘carbon footprint’ when investing in their infrastructure.

Industry HVAC experts, Cosaf, are leading the way in environmentally friendly building environments with Breezair.

The multi-award winning innovative design provides a controlled supply of fresh, cooled air with minimal noise and low energy consumption. A recent example of such a project has just been completed for global personal care giant PZ Cussons at their new state-of-the-art production facility in Manchester.

PZ Cussons needed a solution to their overheating production areas and summer time solar gain; therefore the team at Cosaf were tasked to design, supply & install a low energy, low carbon cooling system to eradicate an uncomfortable staff working environment.

Cosaf were selected for the project after demonstrating an exceptional level of excellence in the design application, project management and installation of a small phase tender procedure formulated by PZ Cussons. Having received a commendation for manufacturing quality, the Breezair system, which is exclusive to Cosaf, more than surpassed the requirements and was deemed far superior to products and methods tendered by the competition.

Driven to providing low energy / low carbon building environment solutions, Cosaf combined their 30 years experience in the commissioning of leading edge evaporative cooling and air conditioning systems, to deliver the complete ‘green-friendly’ solution.

PZ Cussons had this comment:

“The challenge we set ourselves was how to provide an excellent working environment for our employees and at the same time the hygiene standards necessary for a personal care factory without compromising our CSR principles. Cosaf supplied equipment that meets all three success criteria’s, whilst sympathetically blending in with the rest of our state of the art facility.”

Cosaf Director, Karl Sullivan commented:

“Many local authorities, public sector organisations, educational establishments and major corporations are now looking to Breezair to meet their environmental policies and are already benefitting from the improvements in performance and reductions in running costs in any commercial or industrial premises.”
