CoSaf Environments are independent specialists in the consultation, design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of smoke ventilation and Smoke Control Systems

We have a wealth of experience of providing smoke and fire ventilation systems for means of escape, protection of stock and building structure. Our engineers provide full design support to architects, consultants, building owners and contractors for smoke control applications where we will assist in overall design implementation, submission of calculations and liaison with building control to ensure acceptance of the designed system

Smoke ventilators

An extruded aluminium heat and smoke ventilator with optional translucent lids to provide day lighting and is particularly suitable where greater areas of smoke ventilation are required.
Altair Stairwell vent
Designed to meet BS 5588 requirements of a 1 sq.m smoke exhaust area for protected stairwells in shops, flats and offices.
Stratus Roof Louvre
A roof ventilator for industrial/commercial buildings which is suitable for both natural and fire ventilation.

The aesthetically attractive Altair Ventilator with its low silhouette appearance, and the Altair Stairwell vent are highly efficient in operation. Multi-purpose Ventilators, can be supplied in modular 'knocked-down' form for ease of site handling and installation.

The three ventilators share a number of important features. They are weatherproof, being resistant to both air leakage and rainwater penetration; durable, having been tested to the equivalent of 20 years normal operation; and fail-safe in actual fire conditions to temperatures in excess of 600°C.

All three can also withstand snow loads of up to 25 kg/sq.m and wind loads up to 3 kN/sq.m

Arielvent and Alto window ventilators can be designed with totally concealed mechanisms, enabling them to blend in with or enhance the lines of an atrium, so often part of today's innovative building design.

Each Arielvent is custom made for specific application and design details relating to the overall scheme and can be incorporated to maintain the aesthetics of the construction. Material and glazing can both match those specified for the atrium.

Alto Windows are designed to integrate with modern glazing systems and are available in a wide range of standard sizes and finishes but, as projects can vary substantially, special sizes and finishes can be supplied to suit specific applications, Any glazing requirement can be accommodated to ensure compatibility with the overall architectural concept.
