Emergency Lighting Schemes
In the event of an emergency and a power fail, buildings need to be evacuated safely and quickly. Escape routes and emergency exits must be illuminated to achieve this.There are laws relating to emergency commercial lighting, most importantly the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. It includes a mandatory requirement for the provision of emergency lighting in all public buildings.
